Ami Davidsohn Appointed Director of MATA
Ami Davidsohnn has been appointed Director of MATA Division, IAI?s helicopter facility in Jerusalem, which is part of the Military Aircraft Group.
Mr. Davidsohn (53) is a graduate of the Technion ? Israel Institute of Technology, with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
He began his career at Israel Aircraft Industries in 1972 as a Stress Engineer. He worked in The Boeing Company in the United States as Lead Structures Engineer, within the framework of a joint program between Boeing and IAI.
In 1980, upon his return to Israel, he was appointed as Chief of Structures for the Civil Aircraft Division at IAI. In 1989, he was appointed Deputy General Manager of the Civil Aircraft Division, and in 1994, he became General Manager of the Programs Division in the Commercial Aircraft Group.
Ofer Shifris Appointed Manager of the Dornier 428 Program
To-date, Ofer Shifris has served as General Manager of MATA Division, and was appointed Manager of the Dornier 428 Aircraft Program (the development and manufacture of Dornier?s commuter aircraft model 428, a project which IAI won in a recent bid).
Mr. Shifris (49) is a graduate of the Technion ? Israel Institute of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering, and he completed management courses at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv University.
He began his employment at IAI in 1974, serving in numerous roles in the Engineering Division at the time. Since 1988, he has worked in the LAHAV Division as head of the Engineering Directorate, and Director of Marketing & Business Development. Since 1995, as mentioned, has served as head of the MATA Division within the Military Aircraft Group.
