Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) selected the Lahav Division advanced avionics package to optimize the operational performance of their Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) DHRUV. The ALH is HAL's most modern helicopter and includes the latest technologies in its design. The Lahav Division of IAI is a world leader in developing state-of-the-art integrated avionics systems for military applications, tailored to actual operational requirements. Lahav has proven capabilities of successfully integrating advanced systems for the Israel Defense Forces and other customers from around the world.

As for its other aircraft and helicopter avionics programs, to ensure optimized performance, Lahav actively involved Israel Air Force pilots in the development and adaptation of the ALH avionics and operational concept. Lahav's team is available to tailor the ALH systems and operation to each Users specific requirements.

The Lahav ALH avionics system has been successfully integrated and proven in the "Export Version" ALH Demonstrator, which is available for demonstration flights.

LAHAV Division

Lahav ALH avionics system enables the helicopter to be utilized to its maximum potential and support successful mission performance. The ALH pilot is provided with easy and logical operation of the helicopter and its systems. Lahav's proven Display and Mission Computer (DMC) ?with its Operational Flight Program (OFP) software is based on operational programs developed for the Israel Air Force and other customers. The ALH with Lahav's avionics package and cockpit layout, provides:

• Generation of integrated displays for each stage of the mission
• Optimized system management and operation
• Clear (color coded) tactical situation picture for rapid monitoring of the helicopter and its surroundings
• Safe day/night/adverse weather operation under all environmental conditions, including full NVG compatibility
• Maximized flexibility and growth potential utilizing modular avionics with open architecture, MIL-STD-1553B Mux Bus and other commonly used interfaces

The off-the-shelf avionics subsystems include:

• Powerful Display and Mission Computer (DMC)
• Four (4) 8" x 6" LCD, Multi Function Color Displays (MFCDs) providing Glass-Cockpit features
• Two (2) Control and Display Units (CDUs) for data entry, flight management functions, subsystem control and system status display
• Navigation Equipment - Doppler/GPS for pinpoint navigation, Radio Altimeter (RALT)
