Mr. Saraf began working at ELTA in 1983 following 8 years of military service with the Israel Air Force (IAF), leaving the active service with the rank of Major.

Mr. Saraf began his career at ELTA as a Software Program Manager. Following this he was promoted to the position of Software Department Manager. Subsequently he was appointed Director of the Airborne Radar Directorate and in 2004 as Deputy Managing Director of the Radar Division.

In May 2009 Mr. Yacob Saraf was appointed Vice President of Operations for the entire group, responsible for its operational activities at the corporate headquarters level.

Yacob Saraf, born in 1953, holds a B.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering from the Technion in Haifa.
Mr. Yacob Saraf is married and has two children.
