Among the first and most experienced in using the convenient ATLAS test language for TPS, ELTA offers avionics ATE which incorporates ARINC 626 ATLAS software standard, with standard, ARINC 608, VXI hardware. These ATEs incorporate real-time on-line instruction solutions with graphical man-machine interfaces for optimal maintenance support of avionics. The solid, reliable ARINC 608 hardware interface configuration together with use of the ARINC 626 ATLAS software enable transportability of TPSs from the ELTA ATE to other up-to-date SMARTTM* compatible systems and full portability of software from one test control computer to another. This adds up to possible cost saving brought about by reduction of multiple TPS development for common avionics in different aircraft models. Following are descriptions of ELTA ATE for the various types of avionics
Avionics Models:

General Test Systems for Complete Aircraft Avionics ELTA applies its considerable ATE experience to test complete aircraft avionics for I-Level maintenance. The ATE tests avionics systems to ensure system readiness, to identify and isolate faults down to the component level. The tests include RF, analog, digital and video signals. The Avionics Test Systems have a modular, standard instruments based structure. The test systems enable the customer to prepare Test Program Sets or add more tests for the Units Under Test. If preferred by customer, ELTA will prepare the TPSs and provide documentation, training and support. |
ATE for Commercial Avionics Families ELTA can provide ATE for cost-effective maintenance of the following commercial avionics families:
- Flight management systems (FMS)
- Air Data Computers
- Communications and navigation avionics
- Auto-pilot (flight control computer)

ATE for Aircraft Electrical System Power Units The Electrical System ATE tests avionics power units such as AC and DC regulators, control panels, supervisory panels and other units for a wide variety of aircraft (H-3, F-4,H-60, C-130, S-3, AV-8 and many more). The ATE includes measuring units, loads, programmable power supplies for simulation of aircraft power line variations and a switching matrix. The ATE accurately measures the time delay of UUT switching responses with respect to the time of occurrence of programmed changes in line voltage, current and frequency parameters. Modular software and GPIB-based structure enable powerful performance and system expansion to meet changing requirements.
Electrical Power ATE were developed and provided under contract to the U.S. Navy for its I-Level shops, including aircraft carriers and marine/mobile/land-based activities. The test systems comply with U.S. armed forces' stringent functional and environmental requirements. The commercial version of the test system offers the same functions and high quality components.
