For Lahav's Aerostructures Programs, we manufacture and assemble aircraft structural subassemblies in strict accordance with customer-supplied engineering documentation and other data. Lahav Aerostructures Programs range from relatively simple aircraft structures, to highly complex structures manufactured from exotic materials and requiring special manufacturing and assembly processes. Lahav's in-house capabilities, infrastructure, and fully equipped hangars can meet the most stringent requirements for Aerostructures Programs. To support these programs, Lahav has teams of experienced production, industrial, and tooling engineers, to ensure the on-time delivery of competitively priced aerospace quality hardware. Lahav has access to all technologies and manufacturing processes necessary for the production of aerospace-standard hardware and has amassed extensive experience using modern aerospace production techniques. Lahav is a recognized supplier to aerospace industries and air forces around the world. Lahav's customers include Boeing, for whom we supply major components for the F-15; and Lockheed Martin, for whom we supply major components for the F-16. The United States Air Force and many other leading air forces have granted Lahav approved supplier status for aerospace equipment, systems, and services. For Aerostructures Programs the trend is moving from the traditional approach (of the customer providing all tools, raw materials, fasteners, and other hardware) to increasing the supplier's responsibility. For Lahav's current Aerostructures Programs we have full responsibility for procurement, tooling, production engineering, inspection, packaging, preservation, shipping, etc. Lahav is a Boeing "GOLD Level" preferred supplier and currently supplies the following F-15 assemblies: Conformal Fuel Tanks Forward Fuselage Side Panels Vertical Stabilizers Various Access Doors Lahav has been one of Lockheed Martin's select F-16 suppliers since 1984 and has produced a wide range of subassemblies. Lahav currently supplies Lockheed Martin with the following F-16 assemblies: Wings Conformal Fuel Tanks Vertical Fin Lahav has all the necessary technical capabilities and infrastructure to carry out a wide range of military aircraft Build To Print (BTP) and Build To Specification (BTS) programs. For BTS programs the customer provides Lahav with the specification for the hardware required. This specification will define all the requirements of the item and in some cases the preliminary design. Lahav responsibilities for BTS programs are to perform the following tasks: - Detailed Design - Analyses - Production Engineering - Tooling Engineering - Manufacture Process Definition - Assembly Process Definition - Testing Lahav has to demonstrate to the customer that the final item meets the specifications. The following areas of expertise are available at Lahav to support BTS programs: - Design - Loads Analysis - Stress Analysis - Fatigue Analysis - Weight & Balance Control - Mechanical Design - Electrical Design - Ground Testing - Systems Engineering - Production Engineering - Tool Design - Maintainability & Reliability Engineering Lahav uses Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for its BTS programs to achieve constant communication between all personnel working on the design and production. The IPT has been shown to shorten development times by utilizing concurrent engineering and simplify the manufacturing and assembly process by using DFMA-Design For Manufacture and Assembly. By implementing the IPT concept Lahav successfully provide full and real-time visibility of the program status to all members of the IPT and the customer. The IPT has proven to achieve extremely efficient program implementation with specification-compliant hardware being provided to the customer on time
For BTP programs the customer provides all the engineering data to enable the manufacture and assembly of the aircraft subassemblies required. These subassemblies are manufactured and assembled by Lahav in strict accordance with the engineering and other data supplied by the customer. BTP programs performed by Lahav range from the manufacture and assembly of relatively simple aircraft structures to highly complex structures using exotic materials and requiring special manufacturing and assembly procedures. Lahav has been contracted for BTP work where the customer provided all the tools, raw materials, fasteners and other hardware to perform the work. However the trend today, is moving towards Lahav being given full responsibility for procurement, tooling, production engineering, inspection, packaging, preservation, shipping, etc. Lahav's fully equipped, air-conditioned BTP hangar allows the most stringent BTP assembly requirements to be met. In support of BTP programs Lahav has teams of experienced, production, industrial and tooling engineers, to ensure the on time delivery of competitively priced, quality hardware. Lahav is currently supplying Lockheed with the following F-16 assemblies: - Vertical Fin - Wings - Conformal Fuel Tanks Lahav has immediate access to all the technologies and manufacturing processes for the production of aerospace-standard hardware. Lahav has amassed a great deal of experience in the various production techniques required of a modern aerospace manufacturer. Additionally Lahav also has experience in raw materials procurement, subcontracting and the of the US FAR, DFAR and quality/audits/FAI requirements.
