Bedek Signs Exclusive Maintenance Agreement for Alitalia’s Entire Fleet of JT8D-217 Engines

Alitalia, through its technical arm Alitalia Servizi, and IAI’s Bedek Aviation Group, Engines Division have signed an exclusive maintenance agreement for the entire fleet of Alitalia's JT8D-217 engines. The agreement estimated to be over 300 million  US$.is for a term of 6 years, with an option for Alitalia to extend the agreement for an additional year.

To date, Bedek has overhauled more than forty (40) engines for Alitalia.  Bedek will outsource to Alitalia some of its airframe maintenance and painting activities.

Both companies believe this agreement will enhance cooperation and will extend to other areas of aircraft and engine maintenance.

 

Bedek and Mitsui Establish Joint Venture to Convert B767-300 Aircraft from Passenger to Special Freighter Configuration

Israel Aerospace Industries’ (IAI) Bedek Aviation Group and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) have established a joint venture company to perform conversion of B767-300 aircraft from passenger to special freighter configuration.  The companies will consolidate the development of the B767-300 S.T.C and marketing efforts under M&B Conversions Ltd., in Dublin, Ireland.


Bedek Redelivers Additional B737 Aircraft to British Midland International After Heavy Check

Bedek’s Aircraft Division is redelivering another aircraft out of a line of B737 classic and A-320 heavy checks to British Midland International (BMI). 

This is the 15th aircraft to be redelivered to BMI. The last aircraft will be redelivered in August 2007.
