The board of Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI), headed by chairman Mr. Dov Baharav, has approved Mr. Joseph Weiss', IAI's president & CEO, recommendation to appoint Mr. Boaz Levi as IAI corporate VP and General Manager of the Systems, Missiles and Space group.
Boaz Levi joined IAI in 1990 as a guidance and control engineer for the 'Arrow' program. In 1999 he was appointed as the program chief engineer and managed the development of the 'Arrow' weapon system. From 2003-2006 Mr. Levi served as director of the 'Arrow' program and led successful system tests, including those held in the USA. He was awarded Project Director of the Year (2004) by the Israel Minister of Defense.
As director of the 'Arrow' program, Mr. Levi led the bi-national production of 'Arrow' components, with full cooperation of the Israel Ministry of Defense, the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Israeli defense companies and American defense companies led by Boeing.
During the years 2006-2010 Levi served as director of the 'Barak 8' Missile Defense program in IAI's Systems, Missiles & Space group. Appointed in 2010 as General Director of the Air Defense Systems division, Levi led international and multidisciplinary air and missile defense projects, as well as the development and production of ground breaking active aerial defense systems.
Boaz Levi, born in 1961, is an Aerospace engineer (Technion, Israel Institute of Technology) and holds a Master's degree in systems engineering from the Technion.
