Itzhak Nissan - President and CEO

Itzhak Nissan is President and Chief Executive Officer of Israel Aerospace Industries, Ltd. (IAI).  He was appointed to this position, effective February 2006.

In 2006, record profits, sales and new contracts were set.

Prior to that Mr. Nissan was Corporate Vice President & General Manager of IAI's Systems Missiles & Space Group.  The group develops and produces weapon and space systems, including the Arrow weapon system, Barak ship defense missile system and the OFEQ observation and AMOS communications satellites.

From 1995 to 2002 he was General Manager of IAI's MBT Division, dealing with space products, missiles and precision guided munitions for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and for export.

In recognition of MBT's achievements under Mr. Nissan's leadership, he was awarded the Manufacturers Association of Israel Industry Award for 2001.

Mr. Nissan joined IAI in 1978 as a systems engineer and led the development of the main assault system for the Israel Navy.

Mr. Nissan has a wealth of experience in marketing and entrepreneurship in defense and commercial arenas. He has led innovative concepts that resulted in large scale programs, and has proven his ability to change and to improve the performance of organizations he has managed.

Mr. Nissan holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees, both with honors, in Electronics Engineering, from The University of Washington in Seattle.

He is married and has two children.
