EL/I-3330 -MPAS - Multi-Payload Aerostat System

General Features System Architecture Modular Configuration and Design Flexibility

The Multi-Payload Aerostat System (MPAS), overcoming obstacles of Line-Of-Sight (LOS), provides a cost-effective solution for continuous surveillance and monitoring of long border-lines, coastlines or the peripheral surroundings of high value sites.

The baseline MPAS consists of a 32M™ Aerostat carrying onboard a High Performance Ground Surveillance Radar and a long range, Day & Night Stabilized Imaging Sensor. In this configuration the system can effectively scan, detect, identify and track vehicle and pedestrian movements within a wide region of interest and at ranges that exceed 20 Km.

The MPAS Ground Control Station (GCS) employs advanced tools for aerostat control, management of the payloads operation and payload output data interpretation. The synergy gained through coordinated employment of the different sensors and the computerized tools used for the interpretation of their output-data enables MPAS to accomplish its missions in time, with significant manpower savings.
