IAI/ELTA Systems Awarded $35 Million (USD) Contract For Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) Self Protection Pods

Israel Aerospace Industries' ELTA Systems Ltd. (IAI/ELTA), a Group and Subsidiary of IAI, has been awarded a $35 million contract by a foreign customer to provide Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) self-protection pods designed to protect airborne platforms from Surface-to-Air and Air-to-Air weapon systems. IAI/ELTA's ECM is a unique, advanced lightweight pod equivalent in size and weight to an air-to-air missile.

The self-protection systems enhance the survivability of fighters and helicopters during operations in hostile environment. The systems can be installed either internally or housed externally in a pod.
