IAI attended the sixth Australia-Israel Business Lunch in Sydney:

As part of Australia’s Building Bridges initiative, the sixth Australia-Israel Business Lunch took place in early November, showcasing the growing collaboration between the two nations.
Yonatan Segev, Managing Director of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Australia , was a distinguished guest at this significant event.
Mr. Segev delivered an insightful presentation to the Israeli Trade and Economic Committee in Sydney, highlighting IAI’s remarkable journey and groundbreaking advancements.
His address laid the foundation for a shared vision of future innovation and strengthened collaboration in defence between Australia and Israel.

Canberra-Jerusalem Strategic Dialogue, November 2024

This month marked the annual Canberra-Jerusalem Strategic Dialogue, a key event fostering deep discussions on shared challenges and opportunities.
Sponsored by Strategic Analysis Australia and the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council, the dialogue brought together senior experts in government, security, and public policy for candid, off-the-record conversations.
Among the distinguished attendees such as Secretary of defence, Greg Moriarty AO , Senator for Victoria, James Paterson and others,
were Mr. Ron Tryfus, Senior Vice President of Future Growth Engines and Asia-Pacific Business, and Mr. Yonatan Segev, Managing Director of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Australia.
The roundtable discussions focused on several topics such as: Security in the Middle East, The emerging axis of authoritarianism – China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, The Australia-Israel bilateral relationship, and Lessons from modern warfare – insights from the IDF and ADF.

IAI at the Border Technology Summit ANZ

Canberra hosted the Border Technology Summit ANZ on February 2025, a pivotal event dedicated to enhancing border security through technological innovation. The summit convened key figures from various agencies, including the Australian Border Force, Department of Home Affairs, Australian Federal Police, and the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, to discuss strategies for creating a secure, digital border that streamlines travel and trade while safeguarding against emerging threats.

During the summit, ELTA Systems, a global leader in sensors and special mission aircraft, made a significant impact by showcasing their advanced airborne AESA radar technology. ELTA’s experts highlighted the challenges of maritime aerial reconnaissance and presented a new approach that leverages sensor-aircraft optimization and advanced analytics tools to efficiently cover large areas at high speeds and higher altitudes, detect complex targets, and enhance situational awareness on the ground, at sea, and in the air. At the core of this approach is C-catcher, ELTA’s cutting-edge system designed to revolutionize aerial surveillance by providing unparalleled detection and tracking capabilities.
