Innovation is the cornerstone of IAI’s success as a company, and we invest considerable resources in researching and developing the technologies of the future – both in military and civilian markets. The CTO’s team at IAI leads these efforts and is at the forefront of the company’s strategy.
As a company guided by principles of progress and creativity, we support and lead a set of initiatives and activities that promote and encourage innovation, both within and outside of the company, creating change for IAI and our partners.
Organic Innovation
IAI has an active entrepreneurial innovation community that is updated on a daily basis. We hold monthly innovation management committee meetings and a quarterly innovation forum, where we discuss topics at the forefront of technology in today’s market. Together with Intel and the Israeli Air Force, we have established a course for managers and innovation leaders (class of May 2019). Our hackathon, Take of the Day and Boot Camp activities are renowned in the industry. IAI opens our new IAI Innovation Lab in Tel Aviv area before the beginning of 2020.
Open Innovation
IAI as a significant player in the global innovation ecosystem – The company’s business divisions engage extensively with startups, and we continue to support, develop and nurture local and international industry, in order to maintain our position as technology leaders in the field of R&D.
Domestically – IAI is a corporate partner in the iHLS startup accelerator and global innovation platform, SOSA. An active participant, as judges and panel members, in the Tel Aviv Startup Challenge 2019 and panel members and speakers at Road Trip Tel Aviv 2019, hosted by DUCO-Innovation Eco System Design.
Globally – IAI is a corporate partner in international accelerator Starburst – the only one in the world to specialize in the fields of European aerospace and defence. In addition, IAI in the US is a member of the New Space consortium of the Techstars and Starburst space accelerator, along with the US Air Force, NASA, Lockheed-Martin, MAXAR and SAIC.
