OVERVIEW
The ELM-2032, developed by ELTA Systems Ltd of Israel Aerospace Industries, is an advanced multimode airborne Fire Control Radar (FCR) designed for multi-mission fighters. Supporting air-to-air, air-to-sea, and strike missions, this versatile radar enhances situational awareness and operational effectiveness across a wide range of fighter platforms.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Pulse Doppler, all aspect, look-down shoot-down capabilities
- Low sidelobe planar antenna
- Monopulse and guard channels
- Programmable signal processor
Values & Benefits
The radar is compatible with various fighter aircraft, including the FA-50, F-5, Mirage, and MIG 21. Its three principal modules—the Transmitter, Receiver Processor, and Antenna—are customizable to fit different nose cones, enabling seamless integration without significant modifications.
The ELM-2032 includes Pulse Doppler technology, all-aspect look-down shoot-down capabilities, a low sidelobe planar antenna, Monopulse and guard channels, and a Programmable Signal Processor (PSP). It is compatible with all avionic interfaces and notable for its small size, light weight, and low power and cooling requirements.
Operational modes include Range While Search (RWS), Track While Scan (TWS), and various Air Combat Modes (ACM). It also supports high-resolution SAR mapping with up to 3000×3000 pixels and complex functions like Inverse SAR (ISAR) for sea target classification.
By providing detection, tracking, and classification for air-to-sea, air-to-air, and air-to-ground operations, the ELM-2032 significantly improves fighter aircraft effectiveness and readiness for modern aerial warfare challenges.
