The BARAK MX system provides a comprehensive defence solution against a wide range of aerial threats, including aircraft, missiles – such as cruise missiles, sea-to-sea missiles, rockets and ballistic missiles.
The system is operational with multiple customers worldwide and delivers optimal performance by deploying a family of interceptors designed for ranges of up to 150km.
All interceptions are carried out using an advanced radar, a sophisticated command and control system and versatile launchers capable of firing all types of interceptors.
The system is also in operational use by the IDF, and over the past week has successfully intercepted threats by the Israeli Navy and Air Force.
IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries) is the system’s prime contractor. All system components are produced by IAI.
