ELTA Systems, a division of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), has joined the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, and along with the Ministry of defence’s MAFAT and the Technion, have developed a new system to remotely collect and analyze diagnostic vital signs of patients displaying Coronavirus symptoms.
Using AI, radar, and advanced optical sensor technology, the recorded data is combined and can identify Coronavirus symptoms from afar, allowing medical staff to maintain a safe distance. The system records a patient’s pulse, body temperature, and respiration. The results of the analysis can be viewed at a workstation monitor outside the patient area in a display format of their choice, helping to make the process of decision making easier and more efficient. The entire process ensures that medical teams can operate in a sterile environment, minimizing the risk of exposure
