OVERVIEW
IAI is a world leader in providing military aircraft training systems and services, based on expertise acquired upgrading and maintaining military aircraft, as well as developing flight simulators and military avionics systems. Its solutions support all stages of pilot training, including screening, basic, advanced, and operational levels, ensuring effective instruction in the operation and control of complex systems, sensors, and weapons used on advanced fighter aircraft.
Trainer Aircraft Upgrades
IAI offers Trainer Aircraft Upgrade Packages to maximize pilot training effectiveness despite the limited availability of advanced fighter aircraft, the high cost of their use for training, and the challenges of integrating advanced systems on trainer platforms, forming an integral part of a comprehensive training ecosystem.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Proven system hardware and software
- Excellent simulation of the actual system operation and behavior
- Air-to-Air
- Air-to-Ground
- Targeting Pod
- Weapons
- EW Systems
- Enhanced safety with built-in collision alert warning
- Involvement of instructor (also on the ground using the real-time ground station)
- Excellent debriefing capabilities
Values & Benefits
To address these challenges, IAI developed its range of Embedded Training Systems. The Virtual Training System (VTS) was successfully integrated as part of the Spanish Air Force F-5B upgrade program, providing Virtual Radar, Virtual EW threats, and virtual Weapons. The datalink network connects all participating aircraft and a real-time ground station. Similar Virtual Training Systems and Virtual Radar Systems have been delivered to other customers.
IAI also develops simulators, both stand-alone and as part of upgrade programs. These range from basic Avionics Simulators and Cockpit Procedure Trainers to Fixed Base and Full Motion Mission Simulators, tailored to customer requirements. Pilots and training personnel are actively involved in finalizing cockpit displays, controls, and Instructor Operating Stations.
IAI supports Distributed Mission Operations/Training (DMO/DMT), enabling multiple aircraft to participate in connected training sessions, enhancing realism and operational readiness.
