The conformal configuration enables low RCS and profile operation.
OVERVIEW
IAI’s ELK-1882T is a very small and lightweight (micro) tactical On-the-Move (OTM) satellite communication terminal designed for independent special mission unit, operating Beyond-Line-Of-Sight (BLOS), and incorporating a Software Design Radio (SDR) modem with a Ku-band phased array antenna based on Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) with electronic beam steering.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Secure and immune communication
- Point-to-Point or network topology
- Complies with ITU regulations for small antennas
- Flexible to employ various SDR waveforms
- Advanced spread spectrum technology for Low Probability of Intercept
- INS/GPS – internal or external
- Provision for on board or commercial AES Encryption
Values & Benefits
The terminal consists of a Software Design Radio (SDR) modem and Ku-band phased array antenna based on Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) with electronic beam steering.
The antenna can easily be mounted on a soldier’s backpack.
The terminal can also be mounted on combat vehicles in which the antenna system is conformal to the vehicle structure.
