OVERVIEW
TacCell (ELK-1888) provides ground forces with the capability to establish a fully autonomous, high-bandwidth, secure cellular communication network. Compact, modular and ruggedly constructed for ground-based operations, the patented system can be deployed from a backpack, vehicle or aerial platform—including UAVs and drones—to ensure network coverage in all terrain types and support real-time critical communications.

TacCell provides secure and reliable high-bandwidth communications for sharing large volumes of critical data in real time to support Internet of Military Things (IoMT) devices, handheld computers, weapons systems, and advanced sensors such as radars, SIGINT and electro-optics.
TacCell comprises cellular Network in a Box (NIBs) nodes that can operate independently or as a unique decentralized cellular mesh network (CellMesh™). In mesh mode, the NIB nodes automatically interconnect to create a broadband, low-latency network with no single point of failure, automatically monitor network status, and adjust networking mode according to prevailing conditions. Each user can be served by any node with smooth handover, and NIBs can interconnect with other communications systems using a backhaul interface (IP, cellular or SDR). The network is resistant to jamming and provides end-to-end cybersecurity.
TacCell’s intelligent Command and Control (C2) management system manages all communication systems individually and as a complete network, providing network-centric situational awareness. TacCell is field-proven and operational with military forces worldwide, with additional information available for autonomous networks for police, public safety and first responders under SecureCell.
