The system can be mounted on a rugged vehicle atop a rotating pedestal. Multiple Scorpius-G units can operate in network mode to cover larger, more complex areas, providing key support in air defence against diverse aerial threats.
OVERVIEW
Scorpius-G (ELL-8256SB) is a powerful ground-based, long-range RF Electronic Warfare system combining ESM and ECM to intercept, analyze, locate, track, and jam a wide range of airborne and land radar systems.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Set of transceivers covering a wide frequency range
- Control unit for processing and controlling all ECM operations
- Operator Console for mission planning, maintenance, training, analysis, and debriefing
Values & Benefits
The system features Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) with Gallium-Nitride (GaN) Solid State Amplifiers (SSA), offering exceptional receiver sensitivity and Effective Radiated Power (ERP) that far exceed legacy EW solutions.
Enhanced sensitivity and ERP allow Scorpius-G to detect, distort, and degrade enemy radars, even through side lobes, greatly increasing jamming effectiveness.
AESA technology enables narrow, simultaneous multi-beam operation. Digital multi-beam forming allows targeting multiple threats individually, detecting very low signals, jamming numerous emitters across the frequency range, and displaying an Electronic Order of Battle (EOB) automatically, guided by a pre-programmed Mission Data File (MDF).
