Modern air defense networks are capable of closing the airspace around the modern battlefield and preventing airpower from playing a decisive role. ELLYON EA (Electronic Attack) & ISTAR is a sophisticated multi-mission aircraft system that is designed to overcome them and enable aerial assets to do their job. The aircraft is equipped with a highly advanced wideband standoff jammer incorporating ELTA’s proven AESA multibeam technology. This unique, powerful effector emits independent electronically steered beams to simultaneously perform RADARJAM on multiple aerial and ground targets at unprecedented stand-off ranges, beyond the enemy’s kill zone.
Impressive ISTAR capabilities are anchored by ELTA’s operationally proven multimode AESA radar with strip and spot SAR/GMTI, air to sea (including ISAR), and air to air modes. High‑sensitivity COMINT and ELINT suites enable the aircraft to intercept, locate and record enemy communications and emitters, and construct an up to date Electronic Order of Battle (EOB). Advanced COMJAM systems disrupt enemy communications, while a fully integrated high resolution, multi spectral long-range EO/IR payload supports accurate target identification and classification. ELLYON EA & ISTAR is equipped with a comprehensive, secure communications suite with HF/VHF/UHF radios, tactical datalink, and wideband Line of Sight (LOS) and SATCOM datalinks. A combat‑proven self‑protection suite is fitted for operations in hostile areas.
The aircraft’s carefully integrated systems are managed by ELTA’s highly automated Mission Management System (MMS), which employs the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools to process vast quantities of sensor data and deliver real time actionable intelligence while minimizing crew workload. The system supports aerial manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) with UAVs, an exceptionally powerful force multiplying capability.
ELLYON EA & ISTAR is based on the high-performance Bombardier Global 6500, which has the speed, altitude, range and short turnaround to fully exploit the aircraft’s array of sensors and effectors. This aircraft platform provides operators with a comfortable work environment and a smooth ride for extended operations.
