OVERVIEW
The ELM-2160 Missile Approach Warning System (MAWS) by IAI ELTA is a state-of-the-art defence solution that protects helicopters, transport aircraft, and VIP jets from incoming missile threats. Using all-weather Pulse Doppler radar technology, it detects all missile types, including IR-guided MANPADS, from multiple sources simultaneously, while offering 360-degree coverage, rapid reaction time, and compatibility with a wide range of aircraft.

The ELM-2160 is equipped with six small antennas installed around the aircraft, a Transmitter Processor Unit (TPU), and a Control Display Unit (CDU) that provides both audio alerts and visual direction of the incoming missile.
