OVERVIEW
As air threats evolve, nations face increasing challenges in detecting and countering fighter aircraft, helicopters, low-altitude UAVs, cruise missiles, and other airborne threats. Traditional ground-based radars often fail to provide full, continuous airspace coverage, leaving national air defence vulnerable. Additionally, long-range air operations often require real-time coordination beyond ground radar coverage to ensure control over strike fighter formations deep into contested airspace.

Values & Benefits
Built on the highly capable Gulfstream G550 platform, the ELW-2085 Conformal Airborne Early Warning & Control (CAEW) aircraft provides superb situational awareness and command & control (C2) capabilities. Its conformal dual-band GaN AESA radar provides 360° coverage, while integrated ELINT, COMINT, and IFF sensors deliver a comprehensive intelligence and surveillance solution. The CAEW is fully equipped for battle management operations, featuring AI-driven automation for superior decision-making and operational efficiency. Its self-protection suite (SPS) enables survivability against surface-to-air threats.
Cruising at 41,000 feet, the ELW-2085 extends radar coverage far beyond national borders, enhances ground-based air defence networks, and allows early threat detection at both high and low altitudes. It seamlessly integrates with national and allied defence systems, providing real-time intelligence sharing through satellite communications and data links, including Link 16.
Supporting offensive operations, the combat-proven CAEW provides critical command and control (C2) for fighter aircraft, aerial refuelling, search and rescue, helicopters, and UAVs on large-scale strike missions thousands of kilometers from base. It autonomously builds an intelligence-driven air and maritime picture, manages engagements in real time, and ensures rapid target engagement deep in enemy territory.
Backed by 35 years of IAI/ELTA AEW&C expertise and proven global combat experience in multiple conflicts, the ELW-2085 CAEW is the ultimate strategic airborne force multiplier for modern air forces.
