OVERVIEW
Mission Centers are complementary units of the GCS, supporting observation, research and scientific missions. They enable users to plan their missions, interpret information and generate added-value products, and typically include units responsible for order management, planning, image processing and data archiving. The Mission Center may be located in a different geographic site.
Values & Benefits
User Order Desk (UOD) – Conducting catalogue searches and image order management. It includes tools for performing feasibility studies, making order requests, maintaining order status and delivering images to End Users.
Mission planning – Optimized imaging and download planning considering satellite resources and targets prioritization.
Image Handling System (IHS) – Contains all components required to generate calibrated and value added image products, including geo-location services.
