OVERVIEW
IAI has been manufacturing nacelle parts since 1990. IAI designed and built the CFM56-5C Air-Inlet for Airbus 340-200/300 wide body airliner and P&W 305. IAI also manufactured the Falcon 7X Fan Cowl Door, and the Fan Cowl Doors of the CF6-80 for Airbus 330 as a Build-to-Print program.
IAI is currently producing the engine nacelles for the Bell MV-75 tiltrotor aircraft for the United States Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FLRAA) program. IAI has been part of ‘Team Valor’ in the development of the MV-75 aircraft since 2014.
The MV-75 Nacelle is a composite and metal aerostructure. LAHAV designed and established the new assembly line for the nacelle production, with future plans to incorporate automation to support increased efficiency and production ramp up.
