OVERVIEW
A Radome is a product of interdisciplinary know-how: electrical, structural, aerodynamics, materials, environmental, coatings, testing and repairs. IAI is capable of performing, in-house, all the processes needed for designing, manufacturing and testing a fully functional radome. We have been actively designing, analyzing, testing, manufacturing and repairing radomes for more than 40 years for major companies world-wide, and our radomes are found all over the world (military, civilian) on propeller aircrafts, business jets, fighter jets, helicopters, marine vehicles including submarines, ground systems and much more.

Values & Benefits
The Radome’s electrical performance is its key to success. In order to compute and reduce the radome effects on the antenna, IAI is equipped with specialized and tailored in-house software, as well as more general and commercial EM software. Electrical testing is done in a state of the art radome test range, enabling the measurement and calculation of all the necessary radome effects.
Integrated capabilities: development, test & manufacturing.
Material design complies with strict environmental conditions, and all materials and coatings were tested according to MIL-STD-810G. All Radomes are manufactured on a specially designed lay-up tool and uniform temperature distribution is ensured during curing process.
Lay-up process uses automated in ply cutting and laser projection, Honeycomb cores are formed & NC machined to follow any curve.
