In the modern battlefield, Air to Ground Missiles (AGM) have become essential for effective combat aerial support. As Air Missile defence (AMD) zones expand, necessitating long-range launches to safeguard aircraft and pilots, the demand for precise, deep stand-off weapons is higher than ever. Modern AGM must be launched from beyond enemy AMD zones to ensure low risk for the crew and aircraft. Achieving mission goals with minimal collateral damage requires pinpoint accuracy, reducing the number of weapons needed per mission. Mobile targets often change locations, necessitating target location updates and defining new target capabilities that can be done while airborne. Current advanced AGM are often complex to operate, and challenging to integrate and deploy.

RAMPAGE’s operational flexibility is highlighted by its ability to be carried by medium-sized combat aircraft, which can carry up to four missiles each.
