IAI LAHAV’s Tooling Directorate has extensive experience in tooling design and fabrication, successfully delivering high-precision tooling solutions for Aerospace and Defense programs. Expertise spans the entire lifecycle of tooling, from concept and design to manufacturing, validation, and maintenance.
- Complex Assembly Jigs and Fixtures: Design and fabrication of tools and jigs for a range of aerostructures, including fuselages, CFTs, wing assemblies, nacelles, flight control surfaces, vertical & horizontal Tails, and torsion boxes, ensuring precise alignment and assembly tolerances.
- Composite Tooling: Development of advanced composite molds and curing tools for lightweight and high-strength aerospace components.
- Automated and Robotic Tooling: Design of custom tooling for robotic assembly and drilling systems to enhance production efficiency and accuracy.
- Critical Inspection and Measurement Tools: Creation of precision inspection gauges and check gage/fixtures, compliant with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) standards.
State-of-the-art manufacturing facilities enable fabrication of tooling in environment-controlled workshops equipped with CNC, NC, and advanced welding stations. Advanced Metrology and Validation equipment supports high-accuracy dimensional validation. LAHAV’s Tooling team offers global program support, providing tooling solutions to major aerospace OEMs according to their specific stringent quality standards and schedules.
