OVERVIEW
IAI leveraged its experience in Air-to-Air Refueling (AAR) and cargo conversion to develop a Multi-Mission Tanker Transport based on the B767 aircraft. The aircraft is configurable simultaneously for air refueling, cargo, VIP, passengers, and ISR systems according to operator requirements, offering flexible, reliable solutions for a wide range of military missions while maintaining full operational life and safety compliance.
Flexible Mission Configurations
The B767 conversion process adapts pre-owned aircraft for multiple roles, including aerial tanker, cargo, VIP, passengers, or intelligence systems. Each configuration includes a special cargo door, built-in cargo pallet capabilities, and passenger seats and consoles that can be rapidly installed or removed.

Values & Benefits
Aircraft modifications are performed under an approved Supplemental Type Certificate for the 767-300 special freighter, supported by airworthiness authorities. Military systems and mission equipment are installed and certified under FAA standards, ensuring no interference with original systems, while IAI validates continued airworthiness, structural integrity, and operational longevity.
IAI has over 40 years of AAR experience, converting dozens of aircraft for more than 12 global customers, including the Israeli Air Force, and complying with NATO refueling standards. The company has also converted more than 200 passenger aircraft to special freighters, achieving an exceptional safety record and high utilization rates.
IAI provides maintenance, engineering, and logistics support, including 24/7 Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) services. Proposals can include an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) package with updated documentation, ground support equipment, and initial spare parts, minimizing downtime and ensuring mission readiness. Flight Operations training covers flight crews and ground technicians on aircraft, avionics, air-to-air refueling systems, mission planning, and emergency procedures, including simulator-based training throughout the aircraft’s operational life.
