In recent years, businesses across Israel have faced unprecedented challenges, with operational continuity becoming a top priority. For Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), resilience was put to the test in supporting airlines and fleet operators, while continuing to deliver on its commitments in aircraft conversion and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services. Despite these headwinds, IAI sustained its support for the continuity and growth of operators and lessors in Israel and around the globe.
Facing Challenges
Operating under the strain of prolonged geopolitical conflict required flexibility and rapid adaptation. Issues such as personnel availability, disrupted supply chains, and shifting flight schedules demanded careful planning and responsiveness. Nevertheless, IAI upheld its full range of services -including passenger-to-freighter conversions, aircraft and engine MRO, component repair, and airframe maintenance -meeting all obligations to its loyal customer base. Moreover, IAI-Aviation group successfully attracted new customers, particularly in the expanding Asian market.
Significant milestones were achieved in the engine services domain. IAI’s engine shops secured certifications for the maintenance of advanced LEAP engines, unlocking new growth opportunities. The company also developed capabilities for low-pressure turbine (LPT) blade overhauls across various engine platforms.
On the aircraft side, IAI expanded its line maintenance services to include the Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A320neo. In its conversion operations, the company advanced critical project milestones for the Boeing 777-300ERSF program. With Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval anticipated, IAI is poised to ramp up production in response to the continued global rise in air cargo demand.
To support this growth, IAI established 777-300ERSF conversion lines in the UAE, the United States, and South Korea. These global facilities increase production capacity and enable the company to better serve its international customer base, even in the face of regional instabilities. This strategic deployment ensures operational resilience and market reach.
A key factor in IAI’s success is its ability to maintain full control over its processes. By conducting the vast majority of aircraft and engine work in-house, IAI safeguards its renowned high-quality standards, ensures consistency, and reduces reliance on subcontractors – resulting in greater reliability and adherence to turnaround time requirements.

Delivering Results
Despite the pressures of war and conflict, IAI has demonstrated unwavering commitment to operational continuity. Production lines have remained active, conversions and MRO operations have continued worldwide, and engine repairs have been delivered on time and to the highest standards.
These accomplishments reflect IAI’s agility, reliability, and responsiveness.
The company continues to evolve with market trends and customer needs, advancing aircraft conversion programs, expanding jet engine repair capabilities, and enhancing MRO services for both wide-body and narrow-body aircraft.
